Our Reef lodge, Seal Caye Retreat, is 18 miles offshore. This jewel of an island is at the end of the largest barrier reef in this hemisphere.

No bugs, no crowds, just the trade winds, the reef, the flats and some of the best snorkeling and fishing in the world. From this comfortable outpost, you have the rest of the Sapodilla Cayes National Park at your doorstep. This World Heritage Site is protected from commercial fishing and it offers the fly-fisher and the light tackle fisher wonderful opportunities to pursue Permit and Bonefish on the flats. Bring your mask and fins. The snorkeling is world-class.

It is an island of your own. You can wade the flats for two hours before a boat can make it to the fishing grounds from the mainland lodges. You can fish 12 hours a day if you want. It will just be you and your guide hunting for Bones and Permit from a comfortable, safe, modern, solar powered lodge. On your way back from the bonefish flats, you will have an opportunity to troll for barracuda, tuna, or king mackerel…and then have it for dinner. The stars and moon are spectacular. In the morning, make sure you check the flat off the dock for Permit…several have been caught there during morning coffee.

You could spend a couple of days at Seal Caye then go to the mainland lodge at the mouth of Monkey River and hike the jungle, fish for tarpon and snook, and hunt big permit in Port Honduras. At both lodges you will have comfortable lodging, great local food, and the best guides in Belize
